MAKING MEMORIES

You look at this picture and what do you see? A charcuterie cup, perhaps. I'll tell you what I see! A memory!! A memory of today. Helping my sister prepare food, for her daughter-in-laws, my niece's, baby shower. She was so excited. She had just gotten back from decorating the venue. I asked her if she was satisfied with how it looked. She said yes, but as long as Sydney is happy and likes it, is all that matters. My sister is so excited to become a first time Mimi. I can tell you , without hesitation, she's gonna be the best Mimi, there is! I remember thinking back to preparing for my first granddaughters baby shower "my daughter-in-law's ". Which is like my daughter. How excited I was. I saw that same excitement in my sister's eyes and smiles. I can't wait ! I remember her coming to see our precious Amelia when she was born. She hugged me and we held each other , for what anyone else would think , would be an uncomfortable amount of time. But not us, we knew what the other was feeling. I remember crumpling into her embrace and just bawling my eyes out, from joy!! I literally was so happy, I thought my heart would burst. I'm excited to be there when she is in this same place. We don't have to speak words, we just know. So what she thought was me helping her, was really just us making a wonderful memory together.
