If you’re like me, a good rotisserie chicken is your weeknight dinner lifesaver—but let’s be honest, pulling all that meat off the bone can be a real mess!
Today, I’m showing you how to debone a rotisserie chicken quickly and cleanly, so you get every bit of juicy meat without the hassle. Whether you’re meal prepping for the week or whipping up dinner in a pinch, this simple technique will save you time and frustration.
Why You Should Learn This Hack
Saves money: Get more meat for your buck.
Saves time: Done in under 5 minutes.
Versatile: Perfect for soups, salads, casseroles, sandwiches, tacos—you name it!
What You’ll Need:
1 store-bought rotisserie chicken
A clean cutting board
Your hands (optional: gloves or a small knife)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Remove the Legs:
Gently pull the drumsticks away from the body. They’ll pop right off with a little twist.
Separate the Thighs:
Under each drumstick, you’ll find a thigh. Use your fingers or a knife to pull it away from the bone.
Take Off the Wings:
Pull them off just like the drumsticks—quick and easy!
Lift the Breast Meat:
Run your fingers along the breastbone and pull the meat away in large chunks.
Check for Hidden Meat:
Don’t forget the delicious bits on the back and around the wishbone. They’re tender and flavorful!
